The pots are available in clay and plastic. We create ‘pots’ from carved out tree trunk bases, make wooden troughs, hanging pots, steel pots, orchid pots, planters and volcanic rock planters.

DFL specializes in the use of rock planters, which are typically weathered volcanic rocks, which have been modified for planting. No alterations are done to the natural rock hence they retain their natural look also meaning that each planter is unique. These planters are suitable for out door as well as indoor use.

You can order Christmas wreaths (made of cypress leaves and or Auracaria) with candles, baubles and other Christmas decorations.

We likewise make funeral wreaths on order.

A dry flower can be transformed into a work of art. Our florists have mastered this art and we can offer you tropical and exotic flowers arranged in pots and vases, used for table decorations etc.

We specialise in the use and production of organic fertilizers. These are usually by-products from decomposed plant material (compost). Organic fertilizers are recommended as they have no residual effect on the environment and plant products. Manure is from cows, horse or chicken droppings and make organic fertilizer pellets which are convenient to handle, odourless and easy to use.

Compost is obtained from decayed plant materials. The materials are stacked in a composting unit and water sprinkled every other day to ensure that the material is moist and also allow fast material degradation. The composting unit is made from aluminium panels (refer to technical drawing) and fitted on the ground. The pit is constructed with an outlet area from where composted materials can be removed. Loading is done on top from the open end and spread evenly to ensure that water sprinkled is able to reach all points. Compost so removed is sieved and then packaged and can be used in the garden and on plants.

We undertake the construction of barbecue areas, pizza and tandoori ovens. The ovens are great for outdoor parties and outside area entertainment.

These are DFL’s original works that are designed, manufactured and produced in Kenya – mostly on a made to order basis. However, we usually have some of our specialty products, in very limited quantities, available in stock for faster customization.

Toothpicks

These toothpicks are hand made from acacia sieberiana tree thorns. The quality of this toothpick is hard and was not produced by the felling of trees. The raw materials are gathered by tree pruning – a more ecologically sustainable practice.

DFL Limited Firewood and Charcoal is produced from recycling of pruned materials (trees and small branches) cut due to them posing a danger to pedestrian safety, a road hazard or part of a corrective measure for the well-being of the tree.
